The Cutthroat Girls and Boys soccer teams have been giving their all on the field and the work has paid off. As for the girls, they travelled to play their rival, the Wood River Wolverines. The game finished with a 1-1 tie with a goal from Christine Estep. The player of the game was named junior Aubrey Duffield. Soon after that, the Cutthroats travelled to play the Buhl Indians. The score was 11-0 with goals from Charlotte Davis-jeffers (5), Tatum Minor (2), Christine Estep, Crosby Boe, Aubrey Duffield, and Lyla Maxwell, with assists from Alli Rathfon (2), Gretel Huss, and Crosby Boe. Player of the game was freshman Charlotte Davis-Jeffers. The girls then hosted the Declo Hornets, winning 4-0. Aubrey Duffield scored two goals, and Marit Kaiser and Alli Rathfon each scored as well. Player of the game was junior Falon Hanna, who “controlled the midfield with vision and skill.” according to Coach Feldman. The Cutthroats then travelled to Filer to win 9-0. Goals from Falon Hanna (3), Marit Kaiser (2), Alli Rathfon (2), Aubrey Duffiled, and Rylee Whorton. Player of the game was named freshman Maya Lightner. A week later, the girls played Filer again, and beat them 9-1. Goals from Tatum Minor (2), Christine Estep (2), Crosby Boe, Fallon Hanna, Chloe Tanous, Marit Kaiser, and Charlotte Davis-Jeffers. Player of the game was sophomore Tatum Minor. The girls are standing with a 9-0-2 record.
As for the Boys, they have an overall record of 9-1-1. They beat Gooding 4-0, beat wendell 4-1, tied WR 1-1, beat Buhl 2-1, beat Declo 5-0, beat Filer 4-0 and beat Filer again 4-0. The top goal scorers are Cash Dart with 17 goals, Ridley Lindstrom with 13 & Fletcher Stumph with 5.
Catch the cutthroats at the home fields on tuesday 10/8 playing Wendell (girls at 4, boys at 6) and on thursday 10/10 playing Buhl (boys at 4, girls at 6.) Go throats!
